Solar PV Engineer
Location - Thetford, Norfolk. Ideally looking for candidates within 25 miles of Thetford
My client is one of the world's leading EPC service providers in the development, construction, and operation of solar plants. They are an international company with over 500 employees.
Key responsibilities:
1. Routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems.
2. Complying with company procedures.
3. Performing Preventative Maintenance according to the PPM annual plan.
4. Performing Corrective Maintenance as required.
5. Reporting activities performed on site, upon any site visit, and on a daily basis, through an online reporting system.
6. Conducting job-specific risk assessments, analysis, and operational limitations; reporting all near misses to the manager.
7. Supervision and coordination of third-party contractors carrying out works on site.
8. Coordinating third-party contractors to comply with H&S Regulations.
9. Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing suitable for audit.
10. Fault finding of both AC and DC systems.
Skills required:
1. Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in Electrical Installations.
2. C&G 2382-18.
3. C&G 2391-52 or equivalent.
4. HV AP qualification.
5. Harness Trained (desirable, but training provided if required).
6. First Aid Trained.
7. Fire Marshal.
8. H/S IOSH qualification (desirable, but training provided if required).
9. Central Inverter manufacturer provided training qualifications.
10. Knowledge of maintenance procedures and ability to follow maintenance schedules.
11. Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems such as AC distribution boards, AC & DC combiner boxes, automation panels, etc.
12. Knowledge of CCTV systems and SCADA systems.
13. Knowledge of High Voltage systems, from 33kV, in terms of switching operations and maintenance.
