Protocol Education are currently looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven Biology Teacher to work at a Sheffield Private School ranked in the top three schools in the region. This role is full time and is to start in February. Initially, this position is temporary and will last for three months. There may be the opportunity for the right person to become a permanent member of staff upon completion of the three months.
Your role will include being responsible for delivering inspirational biology lessons that engage all students in their learning, managing behaviour in the classroom and around the school and marking students work and communicating with parents/carers about their child’s progress. You will also be responsible for managing/directing any teaching assistants and ensuring you are always following safeguarding procedures.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have experience within a teaching setting and strong knowledge on the KS3/KS4 curriculum. Experience teaching KS5 would be beneficial but is not essential.
2. Have previously taught biology to GCSE level and preferably A-Level.
3. Have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent.
4. Have a passion for young children’s education and shaping their future.
5. Have excellent command of the classroom, high expectations and the expertise to effectively manage behaviour.
6. Engage all students through the delivery of lessons in a creative, vibrant and interactive style.
You will be required to provide a minimum of two references (covering a minimum of 2 years employment) and will have the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
