Your main role will be to:
* ensure personal and team safety and promote this culture.
* participate in departmental and site safety initiatives.
* undertake all mechanical work as required.
* work closely and in collaboration with the Mechanical Workshop Coordinator and the Workshop Leader.
* liaise with the Shift Production Leader on production priorities.
* comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP's) and permits to work where appropriate.
* monitor the Engineering Requests (ER's) and carry out appropriate tasks.
* carry out plant checks as defined.
* when necessary, work overtime and planned shutdowns.
* when requested be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security or production equipment breakdowns.
* participation in the Engineering call out system.
* comply with the company and engineering quality procedures.
* comply with the Company's Code of Conduct.
You will need:
* a Mechanical Trade Apprenticeship.
* a Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or 5 years experience in mechanical engineering).
* a forklift licence is desirable.
