My exclusive client is a fast growing and profitable £15m t/o Contract Engineering SME based at modern offices and integrated Production/Warehousing facility in Middleton, Manchester.

Due to the company's ongoing growth and expansion, the FD seeks a strong no2 in Finance to manage the day to day Accounts function, operating on a Sage 50 platform.
\n\n
Managing 3 Assistant Accountants and reporting directly as "right hand" to the FD, responsibilities will include:
\n\n
\n\t
* Production of monthly Management Accounts with supporting commentary/analysis.
\n\t
* Efficient and timely control of the ledgers and day to day financial transactions including Payroll and Credit Control.
\n\t
* Ownership and development of the Stock Management System, with regular contact with the Operations Manager to ensure efficient Stock levels are maintained.
\n\t
* Support the FD in the robust "bottom up" annual Budget process and regular Forecasting.
\n\t
* Year end Statutory Accounts compilation, liaising closely with the Auditors.
\n\t
* Ongoing development of financial and wider operational processes in line with the ongoing growth of the business.
\n
\n\n
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on full range of Accounts experience gained in a similar SME profit centre business.
\n\n
Specific experience of Stock accounting/control and Sage accounting systems would also be an advantage.
\n\n
You will either be a qualified accountant or QBE; the FD confirms the "right" person with the experience required is the most important factor.
\n\n
