We are working with a leading chilled food manufacturer in County Tyrone to find an experienced and proactive Quality Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected business that prides itself on delivering high-quality products and maintaining strong relationships with its customers. Our client is looking for an individual who can lead their quality function, ensure compliance with all food safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across their operations.
Key Responsibilities
As the Quality Manager, you will:
* Manage Quality Systems: Oversee and develop the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with BRC, HACCP, and other relevant standards. Prepare for and lead site audits by regulatory bodies and customers.
* Ensure Food Safety: Act as the key point of contact for food safety matters, implementing corrective and preventative measures as required. Conduct internal audits and oversee supplier approval processes.
* Lead and Develop the Team: Manage and mentor the quality team, fostering a culture of quality and excellence throughout the business. Collaborate with other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyse quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance product consistency, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
* At least 5 years’ experience in a quality role within food manufacturing, ideally in chilled food.
* In-depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing a team.
* Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
