1. Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
2. Setting up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
3. Operating angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
4. Laying out pieces to be assembled according to blueprints, schematics, or work orders.
5. Using manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials.
6. Positioning pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
7. Must hold valid CSCS or CCNSG.
