1:1 Core Subjects Tutor
Location: Nottinghamshire (NG19)
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored, 1:1 lessons in English, Mathematics, and/or Science, based on individual student needs
* Conduct initial assessments to identify learning gaps and set achievable goals
* Provide regular feedback to students, tracking progress and adjusting teaching methods as required
* Help students prepare for exams, coursework, and other academic challenges
* Foster a positive, motivating, and supportive learning environment
* Develop and implement effective lesson plans and resources
Essential Skills and Experience:
* A strong academic background in English, Mathematics, and/or Science (degree level or equivalent)
* Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, ideally in core subjects (1:1 tutoring experience is highly desirable)
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner
* A patient, encouraging, and empathetic approach to teaching
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* A genuine passion for helping students succeed
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
* Experience working with students at a range of academic levels and abilities
* Knowledge of current educational curricula and exam boards (e.g. GCSE, A-Level, Key Stage 2 & 3)
