This family-oriented practice is seeking a Qualified General Practice Accountant to join their growing team. As a Qualified General Practice Accountant, you will work across a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting their accounts and personal tax needs. In addition to client management, you will play a key role in guiding and mentoring junior staff members.
Key Responsibilities
Client Portfolio Management: Manage a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and small to medium-sized limited companies.
Accounts Preparation: Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations.
Taxation: Handle personal tax compliance, including preparing and filing self-assessment tax returns.
Advisory Services: Provide clients with tailored advice on financial matters and tax planning opportunities.
Team Support: Mentor and supervise junior team members, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and identifying opportunities for additional support.
Requirements
Essential:
ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
Proven experience in a general practice role within an accountancy firm.
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and personal tax.
Desirable:
Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and tax software.
Previous experience in mentoring or supervising junior team members.
