An opportunity has arisen for a 2 year Fixed Term Clinical Coding Clerk based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do :
Duties include extracting clinical diagnosis, procedures / interventions from patients' case records and clinical summaries, encode, compile and validate Scottish Morbidity Records for submission to Information and Statistics using the computerised Patient Management and abstracting System.
You will be based within the Coding Department at University Hospital Crosshouse and will require to work across NHS Ayrshire and Arran Hospital sites to undertake all coding functions where the demand requires., Some of our vacancies are for internal candidates only.
