Are you an experienced BIM Electrical Design Engineer looking for a new role? Our client, who are based in Derby, are looking for an experienced design engineer to join their team. You will carry out designs on electrical installation projects in the commercial sector. In this role, you will be designing projects from conception to construction. As the new Electrical Design Engineer, you will: Develop and produce detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for projects ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Oversee electrical design projects from RIBA Stage 2 (Concept Design) through RIBA Stage 5 (Construction), managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery. Use Revit and Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to create and manage digital representations of electrical systems, ensuring accurate and efficient designs. Assist the Design Director in managing and mentoring a team of design engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Engage with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and review technical specifications, reports, and documentation, ensuring all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary information for design purposes and to ensure designs are feasible and compliant with site conditions. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of design and project delivery. Provide technical support to Directors and contribute to business development activities, including assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals. Requirements for this position: Experienced designing and managing a range of electrical installation projects. Proficient in using Revit and Building Information Modelling software. What you can expect in return: Salary for this position is between £60,000 and £75,000 depending on experience and ability. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Car allowance is £600 per month, Business miles will be paid at £0.45 per mile for the first 10,000 miles, followed by £0.25 per mile after.
