Days Monday to Friday
We are working with a family run business who are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator to their team. As the Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the movement of goods from inbound deliveries to goods out. You will be working with various 3PL and carrier companies to schedule deliveries, speaking with customers regarding delivery times and updates, negotiating on rates and producing relevant transport documentation.
This will be a broad role covering logistics, transport, administration duties, and customer service tasks.
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for:
* Managing the logistics and transport of products
* Controlling the movement of goods and products from inbound deliveries to outbound deliveries
* Ensuring on-time deliveries of goods to schedules
* Dealing with any transport queries or delays
* Liaising with 3PL providers and carrier companies
* Negotiating on rates and costs
* Producing accurate transport documentation
* Maintaining accurate shipping and transport records
* Acting as a point of contact for transport and after-sales queries
* Supporting improvement projects within the logistics department
Skills and Experience required:
* Previous experience within a similar Logistics or Transport role
* Experience with MS Office and Excel
* Good telephone and communication skills
* Strong organisational skills
* Driving licence
* This role would suit a candidate with previous experience as a Logistics Coordinator / Logistics Controller / Transport Coordinator / Transport Controller / Logistics Administrator / Transport Administrator
