Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager for one of their clients based in Braintree, Essex.
Please note this is a fully remote role and the territory is West Midlands.
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for tasks such as analytical sales strategy development, team management, technical support, research and development, and project management. This role is ideally based in the Midlands area.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for managing and effectively establishing customer accounts within the region/customer base.
2. Generate customer business in line with discount and rebate structures.
3. Accountable for the achievement of sales targets set for the region.
4. Accountable for keeping management informed of sales activity against target achievement by the submission of weekly and monthly reports and via Sales Force.
5. Responsible for following up leads, answering sales calls, and responding to enquiries through to order placement.
6. Effectively handle customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions with the Product Management team and factories as appropriate.
7. Accountable for following up all sales leads and customer quotations.
8. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and merchandising techniques.
9. Accurately maintain records on area and customer sales for the region/customer base.
10. Responsible for carrying out all other associated tasks to ensure the effective and efficient running of the sales team.
Skills and Experience:
1. Self-confidence and self-motivator.
2. Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative, managing oneself and workload.
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); demonstration of ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels.
4. The ability to travel and spend nights away from home as and when required.
5. Proven sales track record in the electrical sector.
6. Desirable - At least 5 years' experience in industrial sales or ability to demonstrate a semi-technical work background.
7. Desirable - At least 5 years business to business direct sales experience in the electrical/tools/PPE sector.
8. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
