Our Trauma and Orthopaedic Service is split between Level 8 which houses predominantly our Trauma Service and Cambridge Movement and Surgical Hub, which houses predominantly our elective services. We are seeking an innovative individual to join the team. You will work within a large, friendly and dedicated Physiotherapy Team. There will be significant opportunities to provide and develop your leadership, supervision and mentorship skills. The Trauma and Orthopaedics Physiotherapy service encompasses: Elective surgeries including total joint replacements, shoulder surgeries and other day case procedures Complex trauma including pelvic fractures and injuries to peripheral joints 7-day working covering Trauma and Orthopaedic Wards Twilight working to enhance the recovery of post-operative patients and facilitate same-day discharges Your responsibilities would include working collaboratively with the Senior Team within Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Service and the multidisciplinary team to deliver a quality clinical service with a clear focus on service development and service improvement. You will be strongly supported in developing new skills, career development and implementing innovative initiatives. Main duties of the job To provide a high standard Physiotherapy service to Trauma and Orthopaedic patients on Level 8, Elective Orthopaedic Centre and Day Surgery Units. To further develop skills in caseload prioritisation, service development audits and staff management. To deputise for the Band 7 Team Lead and develop team management skills whilst carrying a complex patient caseload.
