We are looking for a highly creative and skilled Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in our studio near Lewes and Newhaven in East Sussex. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to flourish within the company.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Directors and Management Team, you will design and manage the implementation of multiple interior architecture and ff&e projects, working collaboratively with both the design and business teams, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
Core Skills and Preferable Experience:
1. 4+ years experience with a focus on residential projects. Depending on experience, we are hiring for either a Senior or Mid Weight.
2. Possess a relevant interior design degree or qualification. Degree in interior architecture is preferable.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, EstiMac and Apple Mac.
4. Good understanding of drawing issue procedure, the design process and significance of well organised files and revisions.
5. Good knowledge of luxury residential interior architecture and design and high-end suppliers.
6. Good knowledge of all aspects of bespoke furniture and joinery design. Experience in lighting design advantageous.
7. Strong ff&e experience across a broad spectrum of price points.
8. Excellent client and supplier relationship skills.
9. Knowledge and experience working with main contractors, architects, M&E and SE teams.
10. Knowledge of tender process.
11. Use of time keeping software on a daily basis.
12. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
13. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
14. Business development skills desirable.
15. 3D modelling skills advantageous, though not essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Be involved with a wide range of design projects, managing clients effectively and proactively from initial brief through to completion.
2. Research, develop, design and compile presentations alongside comprehensive sample and fabric schemes, from initial concept through to final ff&e.
3. Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients.
4. Support delivery of presentations to clients with professionalism, confidence and enthusiasm.
5. Produce detailed technical drawings, plans and elevations on Cad for interior architecture packages.
6. Prepare schedules, specifications and drawings for tender to suppliers.
7. Source and procure ff&e, soft furnishings and accessories.
8. Prepare and manage comprehensive ff&e schedules.
9. Coordinate supplier deliveries and manage project installations.
10. Produce project schedules and adhere to deadlines and time allowances.
11. Undertake site inspections and surveying.
12. Attend site, or other meetings, with clients, suppliers or members of the project’s professional team.
13. Support the wider design team, including senior and junior designers.
14. Maintain and develop existing relationships with suppliers.
15. Engage and build relationships with new suppliers.
16. Identify potential new business or opportunities within your projects, and have a desire to develop the company’s offering as well as your own role.
17. Keep up to date with new developments and trends in the interiors industry, both for aesthetics and functionality.

10. The role is Studio based. A UK Driving Licence and ability to commute into the office daily is essential.
