Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with Union Technical again whilst they look to grow their Health & Safety Function in Glasgow.

As Health & Safety Advisor, you will be an integral part of the IMS team, working alongside the Head of Business Development, Health and Safety Manager & Sustainability Manager. You will work to prevent accidents, injuries and work related illness. You will ensure all risk assessments and method statements are in place for the required areas and that the organisations legal obligations are met. The Health and Safety Officer will work face to face with clients, visiting sites to carry out risk assessments & inspections. You will be a people person who is confident in liaising with external bodies such as supplies, customers and enforcement agencies.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining health & safety policies in line with current legislation and ISO Standards.
* Conducting risk assessments and site inspections, identifying hazards and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
* Providing training and guidance to employees on best practices and compliance.
* Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures.
* Working closely with management to foster a positive health & safety culture across the organisation.
What We’re Looking For:
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.
* Previous experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within Energy or Construction.
* Strong knowledge of UK health & safety regulations .
* Excellent communication skills – able to engage with employees at all levels.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving .
