We are currently looking for a Veterinary Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly team at Gordon Vets. This will be based at our Bonnyrigg branch with holiday cover for Penicuik and Musselburgh, so a driving license will be needed for this role. This role will be mainly client-facing and will include all aspects of practice administration, so a passion for pets, building relationships, and customer service is a must. A small amount of animal handling may be involved, and training will be provided.
About the rota and salary
This role is an average of 32 hours per week between Monday-Friday with 1 in 5 weekends at Penicuik (Saturday only 8:45am-11:15am). Hours/days may be flexible and full-time will be considered.
The salary for this role will be up to £22,000 FTE DOE per annum.

We are a multisite practice with 3 sites across East Lothian and Mid Lothian. We are a very busy practice with a long-standing loyal client base. Our team is made up of 17 vets, 11 Nurses, and 10 Reception/Admin across 3 sites. We have a strong, experienced team who work well together.
Previous experience in a vet practice is preferable; however, we will consider applicants with client-facing reception experience. You must be computer literate, able to work under pressure, and able to work well within a team.
Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (preferred).
Reception: 1 year (preferred).
