East Suffolk Community facilities services are looking for a dynamic and conscientious person to join the facilities team as a Cook at Aldeburgh Community Hospital.
Working Hours: 0700am - 1500pm every Friday. Flexibility will be required with shifts to cover sickness and annual leave.

Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and cooking dishes to a planned menu always using standard recipes.
2. Exercising and supervising portion control.
3. Assisting in the service of food to patients, staff and visitors as required.
4. Maintaining standards of cooking.
5. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, not only personally but in the preparation and service of food.
6. Reporting any sightings of pest and infestation.
7. Assisting in other areas of Hotel Services as may be necessary.
8. Being aware of and able to practice the Trust's policies and procedures pertaining to Fire, Health and Safety, First Aid, Security, and Untoward Incident in general.
9. Attending training sessions as required and being familiar with COSHH.
10. Reporting all accidents and incidents to the Supervisor / Team Leader.
11. Maintaining good communications and cooperation with all departments.
12. Observing the correct care and use of equipment.
13. Maintaining temperature records and checking stores for quality and quantity.
14. Assisting in the training of all levels of staff within the department.
15. Assisting in maintaining disciplinary control by good leadership and consultation with staff.
16. Assisting in all areas of office administration duties as required.
17. Feeding back information as necessary to the Supervisor / Team Leader.
18. Accepting responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor / Team Leader.
19. Ensuring that all appliances are turned off, locking up the fridges and main kitchen doors at the end of the shift.
20. Prioritizing duties daily.
21. Ensuring that all provisions are used in strict rotation and are in date.
22. Helping to serve meals in the restaurant.
23. Acting in a professional manner.
24. Performing any other relevant duties as delegated by the Supervisor / Team Leader.
25. Maintaining patient and staff confidentiality.
26. Checking of equipment and reporting any faults to the Team Leader or Property Services.
