Senior Pensions Calculation Specialist One of Carbon60's clients within the commercial insurance brokerage services sector, is looking for highly skilled Senior Pensions Calculation Specialist. Overview: We are recruiting experienced Defined Benefit pensions professionals to join us as a Senior Pensions Calculation Specialist, and act as specialists in the definition and automation of pension scheme calculations including all calculations needed for admin and actuarial service delivery. These professionals will apply their experience and expertise to design and deliver efficient individual and bulk calculation routines as part of our admin and actuarial solution. This is a unique chance to work in an innovative team developing new solutions for our clients and pension scheme members. Contract Specifics: 6-months initially, with potential for extension(s). £450-£550 per day (Inside IR35), DOE. Remote working – just 2 times per year in the office. Primary Responsibilities: Create and customize tools and solutions, completing work to a high standard ready for senior peer review, and taking full responsibility for timely delivery of the work. Communicate technical issues in a clear way to a broad audience. Utilize strong numeracy and analytical skills, and work with modern software, ideally with a keen interest in developing technological solutions for the benefit of our clients. Demonstrate good organization skills and core project management behaviors to complement technical expertise. Experience in pension data analysis and transitions in an admin, consulting, or insurer context is advantageous, as well as an advanced understanding of the typical calculations of a UK pension scheme. Requirements: Proven track record in delivering multiple projects to set deadlines. Innovative approach to solving problems and openness to new solutions. Strong knowledge and experience of UK DB Pension arrangements, including experience of analysing and mapping pension scheme data. Strong understanding of manual benefit calculations and processes. Experience in creating solutions and customizing software to correct data or carry out pension scheme calculations. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience working with pension administration systems or other similar databases. Clear, concise, and great communicator of complex or technical issues relating to UK pensions and member data to a broad audience. Experience in developing close working relationships with clients and/or external third parties or suppliers. Proven delegation skills and a natural desire to coach and mentor junior associates.
