Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 12.15pm - 5pm
Salary: Up to £19,326 pro rata (£38,144 FTE) Subject to experience

Milton Keynes College has an opportunity for a passionate Leadership and Mentoring Lecturer who believes in the power of transforming lives through learning. You will connect with learners in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning, enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications but also developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment as well as other areas of education.
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of topics, including, but not limited to effective training in Team Leading and Leadership, Supporting Teaching and Learning, and Mentoring, all while conducting engaging and dynamic classes for diverse groups of learners within the prison environment.

ABOUT HMP ERLESTOKE
HMP Erlestoke is a Category C prison, holding approximately 444 adult male sentenced offenders. The prison is built on the former grounds of Erlestoke Manor House and has expanded in both offender numbers and intervention programmes. HMP Erlestoke’s focus is firmly fixed on reducing re-offending and preventing future victims of crime by preparing offenders for their release through accredited intervention programmes, skill and vocational-based training, and education, in a pro-social environment.
Courses at HMP Erlestoke include Maths, English, IT, Horticulture, Carpentry, Cleaning and Support Services, Hospitality, Creative Craft, Customer Service, Team Leading, Learning Support, and much more.
The education delivery hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 11.15am, 2.00pm – 4.30pm and on Fridays 8.30am – 11.15am.
Erlestoke staff and learners get involved with various projects each year. In 24/25 Erlestoke held an archaeological dig and a two-week Arts festival “Penned Up” giving learners the opportunity to hear from authors, refreshing attitudes, thinking, and developing a focus on reading.
Erlestoke issues an internal magazine highlighting various events, projects, and support alongside articles, interviews, and shared experiences as well as promoting well-being and education.
