We are looking for a part time member to join our Caretaking/Cleaning Team at the Practice.
Hours: 1.00 pm - 6.30 pm Monday to Friday
Saturdays: on a rota basis - opening and locking up only.
We currently have x5 team members with one member leaving shortly for maternity leave. This position is to provide maternity cover until the end of January 2026.
We work in a modern, purpose built Practice offering the latest facilities to support our strict infection control standards. The applicant must be driven to provide the highest standards of cleanliness and be able to work as a member of a Team.
The role involves holding a set of keys for locking up the building on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6.30 pm, therefore, the candidate must be reliable and trustworthy - all training will be given on site.
Main duties of the job
The candidate must be able to follow a strict cleaning schedule for their designated area of the building. This includes the removal of clinical waste bags and non-clinical waste from consulting rooms and management of secure storage bins on site.
Cleaning activities include floor mopping, dusting, wiping down hard surface areas, cleaning of toilets and showers, and deep cleans.
Water management for the control of Legionella is also part of the role and includes regular flushing of water outlets as per a schedule.

Detailed information relating to the expected standards are contained within the Cleaning Standards and Schedule Policy. A schedule of cleaning has been added to each area throughout the organisation. The cleaner is to maintain detailed records of activity for regular and robust cleaning audits. To correctly dispose of waste in accordance with the Waste Management Policy, whilst also considering the organisations obligations as detailed within the Environmental and Sustainability Policy. To maintain good communications with both the Cleaning Manager and the Practice Manager.
