In this Mobile catering post, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and its surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service. Supervising staff working in the kitchen. You must be aware of HACCP Procedures - completing required paperwork including electronic returns. Understanding dietary and nutritional needs. Duties may also include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, its surround. We have a permanent vacancy to join our team based at Bankhead, Glenrothes working 32.5 hours per week on a 52-week contract as required. As a mobile this entails covering at various outlets as required and may include occasional evening or weekend work. You will earn a competitive salary of £24,890.91 to £27,087.17 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including: • £13.26 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends. • Pay is 4 weekly. • Travel expenses will be paid – we pay 45 pence per mile to staff using their own car. • Access to and support with a training opportunities and qualifications for the job. • Local and national discounts including supermarkets, restaurants, and retail • Generous holiday allowance. • Membership of Fife Pension Fund which is part of the Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS Scotland) Training on all In House systems will be provided. The Person Catering Experience, a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent is essential for this post. Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team. Ability to travel throughout Fife within a limited timescale. You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
