Whatyou’ll be doing:
* Performand supervise high level calibration / repair of Mechanical test,measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) including resourcemanagement and calibration workloadsignoff
Write, review and approvecalibration procedures and measurement uncertaintybudgets Take part in UKAS (ISO17025) audits and quickly achieve UKAS signatorystatus Deliver specific, targetdriven on the job training / experiential leaning to apprentices /lesser experienced teammembers Professional communicationwith technical stakeholders including consultation on newmeasurementtechnologies
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Extensiveexperience in a precision Mechanical metrology laboratoryenvironment
Understanding of qualitysystems & standards (ISO 17025 / ISO9001) Relevant academicqualification (STEM Degree, HNC/HND orequivalent)
Desirable:
* ExistingUKAS signatory status for Mechanical Calibrations (Pressure, Mass,Torque, Force)
* Experience in creation of measurement uncertaintybudgets to ISO 17025level
Experience in use ofautomation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview)

ICS Mechanical focuses the calibration of TMDEcapable of making pressure, mass, torque, and force measurements.ICS Mechanical supports calibrations in a dedicated laboratory aswell on site around the Barrow Submarines Site. We offer relocationsupport packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meetingeligibility criteria.
