We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to express themselves creatively and develop their artistic skills. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative art lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A-Level art.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
3. Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and enhances students' artistic skills and appreciation for the arts.
4. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
5. Organise and participate in extracurricular art activities, including art clubs, exhibitions, and school events.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and contribute to the broader school community.
7. Stay updated with the latest developments in art education and incorporate new techniques and materials into your teaching.
Qualifications and Experience:
8. A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related field.
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
10. Proven experience teaching art at the secondary school level.
11. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Art and Design.
12. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
13. A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
