Job summary This is a 10 PA post for a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal United Hospital Bath. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the existing team of Consultants at the Royal United Hospital Bath. This is an expansion post in response to an increasing workload within a busy unit. The department is well served with junior staff members, managerial and administrative support. We have a full maxillofacial laboratory with access to digital planning technology and 3D printing. Main duties of the job To fully support the delivery and development of the Maxillofacial Service and to share responsibility for the service with the other Consultants. Provide and develop with clinical colleagues, an integrated Head & Neck Skin Cancer Service for the Trust. This may involve all disciplines including primary and tertiary care. Participate in the structural development of the Head and Neck Skin cancer service, treatment protocols and guidelines and extend knowledge in the management of Head and Neck skin cancer. The Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons currently provide a 24-hour emergency service, with a 1 in 12 rota, covering the Bath and Bristol hospitals.
