Job summary We are a bed based Rehabilitation, Re-enablement and Recovery unit located in Grimsby. Our multi-disciplinary service consists of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Care staff who all work collaboratively to prevent unnecessary and lengthy stays in hospital or admission into long term care, wherever possible. We provide a range of therapies and support to assist people in their recovery and regain their independence, enabling them to return to their own homes safely and with any additional support in place. Main duties of the job Job title: Housekeeper Department: Community Inpatient Unit Base: Community Inpatient Unit, Cambridge Park, Peterhouse Road, Grimsby, DN34 5UX Hours: 20-25 per week (2 posts available) Contract: Permanent Rota pattern: Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays. Salary: Range 2 £21,841 (under 21) / £23,600 (over 21) pro rata. You will be part of a team responsible for the housekeeping services within this busy inpatient unit. This will include tasks such as window cleaning, cleaning of floors, stairs, furniture, fixtures and fittings ensuring a high level of cleanliness at all times in compliance with CQC regulations and standards. Other duties will be the preparation of soiled bed linen and towels to be sent to external laundry services; disposal of clinical and domestic waste and the use of specialist equipment in compliance with manufacturers instructions. You will hold a NVQ Level 2 certificate in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent level of knowledge and have at least one years experience of working in a domestic role or setting. You must be able to work flexibly as part of a rota to cover weekends and bank holidays.
