About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and surface preparation of aircraft. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that all painting tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment by following health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Carry out surface preparation and painting of aircraft areas or components as per schedule.
- Sign off completed work within the scope of approval.
- Operate vehicles and lifting equipment within permit limitations.
- Ensure effective communication within the team.
- Support departmental and directorate goals by seeking improvements in tasks, processes, and the work environment.
Skills & Capabilities
- Experience in preparing and applying aircraft paint finishes.
- Strong engineering hand skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication within shifts and teams.
- Comfortable working with engineering and document management systems.
- Ability to work shifts and in confined spaces when required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Indentured Paint Finishing Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret engineering data (job cards and manuals).
- Understanding of COSHH regulations related to paints and chemicals in the aviation industry.
