Our client is a rapidly growing organization at the forefront of innovation in the space industry. They specialize in the design, development, and industrialization of a diverse range of space-based propulsion applications. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. Responsibilities: As a Design Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the following key duties: Designing fluid system components, including electro-mechanical valves or mechanisms. Developing procedures for the assembly and testing of development and qualification hardware. Generating design and compliance documents using CAD, finite element analysis. Collaborating to support the company's commitment to safe working practices, both on-site and in design principles. Key Requirements: Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification work experience in the space industry (other sectors considered by exception). Proven experience with CAD for generating 3D models. Experience with test rig design, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for fluid systems, with the ability to write detailed operating procedures. Knowledge of the design, manufacture, and testing of aerospace or space products. Familiarity with valve, mechanism, or propulsion designs.
