- Safety Cards: ECS or CSCS Card (ideally with IPAF/MEWP OP Card)

Term of Work:
13 to 26 weeks + subject to workload
Work Schedule:
Due to shutdown work, workers may be required to work Saturday and Sunday as part of the agreed hours.
Type of Work:
Working on shutdown type work on industrial sites, including small power stations, chemical plants, and factories. Responsibilities include removal, maintenance, and re-installation of machinery & plant.
Duties:
- Removing machinery & plant
- Re-installing mechanical & piping systems
- Working on conveyors, elevators, extruding, packaging machines, valves, pumps, etc.
- Fabrication of replacement or modified components or systems
- Welding using TIG (mainly) plus some MIG. Working on site-run work and from drawings, on sheet, plate, steel work, and pipe work.
Qualities & Skills Required:
Experience in food & drink factories or industrial chemical plant type work.
Tools & Equipment Required:
Hand tools, battery drill, overalls, high visibility vest, safety helmet, grinding goggles, safety specs, welding visor.
Hours and Days of Work:
Monday to Friday, with overtime often required. Working hours are typically from 07:00 to 17:00, with Saturday and Sunday if required, working 8 to 10+ hours per day. May work 10 to 12 hours per day during busy periods such as shutdowns.
Pay Rates:
- Temporary Contract: £26+ per hour (Mon to Fri)
- £30 per hour on Saturday
- £34 per hour on Sunday & Bank Holidays (payment via pay company)
- Permanent Roles: £38,000 to £44,000+ p.a. depending on hours.
We would also consider applicants on a semi-skilled basis or as engineers or fitters assistant/mate basis with pay from £14 to £17 per hour.
