New Directions Liverpool are looking for a Learning Support Assistant for a ‘Good’ SEND school based in Kirkby, for a Long-term role. If successful, you will be required to support children who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASD) and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD). This role will be to start ASAP subject to clearance.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD.
* Build strong relationships with students and staff.
* Be encouraging and supportive.
* Have a positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children’s development.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.
* Work and liaise with teachers, therapists, and parents to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Job Specification:
* Experience working with children or adults with additional needs.
* Hold a L2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
