Come and join our small and highly regarded team who support colleagues across children's social care to build on excellence and continuous improvement.
About the Role
The Service Progression and Sustainability Team supports Social Care and Targeted Family Help Services in the progression and sustainability of new ways of working. This new role will also closely work with our Commissioning Service to support them in making smart, cost-effective commissioning decisions.
You will support the provision of high-quality data relating to the strategic planning and commissioning activities within the department, through data management, data quality, statistical and data presentation skills.
The person we are looking for will be confident in supporting, facilitating, and liaising with the Finance Business Partner, Heads of Service, Service Managers, and Team Managers on a regular basis to determine data requirements, as well as deputizing for the Service Progression Team Manager at Management Meetings.
You will provide strategic insight, advice, and challenge by developing and sustaining effective working relationships (including with other departments and partners).
The ability to reach sound decisions, often under pressure, and take responsibility for their outcome, alongside regular reporting to senior managers, will also be key.
The focus of this role is on continuous service improvement and ensuring that we have good presentation of data to inform care and support needs of our children. Therefore, you will be able to develop reporting mechanisms for performance data including comparative analyses within the Department which will also include data forecasting.
A thirst for continuing professional and personal development is crucial to this role to ensure that skills and knowledge are maintained and updated as you inspire, generate enthusiasm, and share good practice.
