An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Clinical Psychologist/Highly Specialist CBT Therapist who is passionate about clinical work and developing and improving high quality mental health services in Bristol.
Supported by the Complex Psychological Therapies team, this role is based in The South Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team.
You will be delivering specialist psychological assessment and therapy, consultation and supporting staff in delivering psychological interventions under supervision. The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams will be essential to developing your role. You will need to be well organised with the ability to prioritise your work according to clinical need and liaise effectively with team colleagues and professionals in other agencies.
You will also be providing leadership and training to staff in Community Mental Health Services across Bristol.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to service users and carers using the South Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team.
2. To provide highly specialist advice and consultation on clients' formulation and psychological management to other non-psychologist colleagues.
3. To use highly specialist psychological knowledge and skills to contribute to the more effective management of patients by the South Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team.
4. To take on a Lead role for CPI provision in the Complex Psychological Interventions Service (CPI), including Service Development.
5. To hold management Supervision for other Psychological Therapists working in the South Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team.
6. To clinically supervise trainees and less experienced Psychological Therapy staff, and other professionals.
7. To contribute to audit, research, policy and service development within the areas served by the Complex Psychological Interventions Service.
8. To develop and deliver training in psychological therapies for multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications
Essential
* Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, or Degree and Masters level qualification in a relevant area (CBT)
* HCPC Registration and/or accreditation with BABCP
* Post qualification and further training in specialist interventions (CBTp, Family Therapy, CAT, DBT, EMDR).
Desirable
* Postgraduate level qualification in supervision

* Experience of working in the NHS and within mental health services
* Experience of offering clinical and management supervision
* Significant experience of offering evidence based therapies to the client group
* Clinical supervision/consultation with other professionals.
* Psychological assessment skills and knowledge.
* Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the specialism. Ability to use this knowledge to think systemically/ organizationally.
* Experience of risk assessment and management.
* Knowledge of relevant Legislation eg MH Act.
* Experience of delivering training in different settings
* Experience of research and audit
