We are looking for a school cleaner for Polegate School.
Days: Tuesday and Friday (term time only) - we can be flexible with this
Hours: 3.30pm - 6.00pm - this can vary slightly
Start: As soon as possible
Purpose of the Role: To provide a cleaning service in specified areas of the site - The Lodge, Forest School Classroom and Swimming Pool.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Cleaning toilet facilities in the Lodge
* Cleaning the kitchen area in the Lodge
* Sweeping and/or vacuuming floors
* Mopping floors
* Emptying bins
* Clean the changing rooms at the pool
* Clean the outside areas around the pool
* Damp-dust surfaces
* Clean and wash windows and glass internally, ensuring they are smear-free and dried properly.
* Wipe down desks and chairs, making sure stubborn smears are removed.
* Any other reasonable duties as required.
The successful applicant will have a sense of pride in helping us maintain the environment. Personal qualities of enthusiasm, ownership, self-motivation, pro-activeness, and flexibility go a long way.

Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
