Control Centre Operators - Full-time & Part-time positions available
Full time salary £32,494 - £35,635 per annum (Pro-Rata £16,247 to £17,817 for part-time) inclusive of 20% shift enhancement
FT 37 hours per week PT 18.5 hours per week
About the Role
An opportunity for a Careline and CCTV Operator has arisen within our award-winning Safer Runnymede team based in Addlestone, Surrey, UK. (Winner - Contribution to the community - Surrey Business awards 2017 and Winner – Public sector security award - Government business awards 2009)
The Operator role consists of monitoring public space CCTV cameras and responding to calls from the elderly or vulnerable on the “Careline” Community Telecare System. You will also act as a first point of contact for all borough related issues for a number of local authorities out of hours and respond to emergency situations varying in type and severity. These range from housing maintenance matters and lost dogs to life and death time-critical emergency responses on careline and CCTV. This is a rewarding job with great variety and potential for job satisfaction. Operators work a structured shift rota covering 24hrs a day which includes early, late, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
All shifts have a 20% enhancement added to them to cover bank holidays, weekends, and unsociable hours.
About You
We are expanding and looking for applicants on a full and part-time basis, with considerable experience of working with the public in either a customer services or control centre environment. You should have excellent observational and communication skills together with a caring and patient approach. A current S.I.A public space CCTV operators licence, experience of Telecare and/or liaison with the police, and having good local knowledge will be advantageous.
Full training on all systems will be given.

The successful applicant for the control centre operator post will be subject to NPPV2 (Surrey Police) vetting process. Appointment is subject to successful vetting by Surrey Police – please be advised this process can take up to 12 weeks.
