Oulton Academy is an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ mixed secondary school catering to over 1,000 students aged between 11 and 16. Located in the picturesque village of Oulton, South Leeds the school is rapidly becoming the school of choice in the area, with student numbers increasing year on year. In December 2022 we were selected for the governments School Rebuild Programme and plans are well underway with this exciting project.
Oulton Academy joined Carlton Academy Trust (CAT) in April 2024, which proudly oversees three secondary schools, three primary schools, and three special schools, collectively educating nearly 5,000 students and employing almost 1,000 members of staff. Oulton Academy is rapidly becoming the school of choice in the area and student numbers are increasing. As a result, we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of English with potential to teach Media Studies, including at GCSE level to join our talented and dynamic team in September 2025.
As a passionate and creative educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in English and potentially Media Studies. You will inspire and engage students through innovative and motivating lessons, helping them to develop a love for literature, language and media. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of raising attainment and ensuring progress across key stages, using engaging teaching methods and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will ensure students reach their full potential and have an impact inside and outside the classroom.
