Business Development Apprentice
Location: Hybrid role - Based across either our London office near to Liverpool Street or our HQ in Billericay, Essex as well as time working from home
Salary: £16,500 for the first year
Contract Type: 18 month fixed term contract
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

You’ll gain a nationally recognised Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship qualification as well as real-world experience in a leading UK environmental business.
At Ground Control, we create, maintain, and sustain outdoor environments across the UK, working with some of the nation’s biggest brands. As a Business Development Apprentice, you will play a key role in driving new opportunities and supporting our mission to deliver sustainable solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Managing the busy inbound sales enquiries email inbox
* Responding to potential clients either by email or over the phone and identifying definite business opportunities
* Working closely with different departments and ensuring that all enquiries are directed to the correct team in a timely manner
* Market Research into potential clients and gathering insights to help shape our business development strategies in the future
* Ad hoc admin support to the Business Development team as and when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
This is a great opportunity for a 6th form or college leaver looking for their first business development role in a busy and fast-paced business.
You will need:
* A strong interest in business development, sales, or customer engagement.
* To be a confident communicator with great interpersonal skills
* A proactive and self-motivated mindset with a willingness to learn.
* Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* 5 GCSEs including Maths & English passes (or equivalent).
* A-Levels or a Level 3 qualification in Business or a related subject is beneficial but not essential.
