Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by closing deals from the opportunities generated by the BDE team. This is a target-driven role that requires strong negotiation skills, business acumen, and the ability to build lasting relationships with prospective clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales process from meeting to contract, with a clear focus on converting high-quality leads into long-term business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of qualified meetings generated by the Business Development Executives, ensuring smooth transitions from initial contact to sales close.
* Conduct thorough discovery sessions during meetings to understand client needs, challenges, and business objectives.
* Present and pitch solutions, effectively communicating the value proposition to potential clients.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
* Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment with the company’s sales goals and client expectations.
* Collaborate with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term client satisfaction.
* Regularly update CRM systems with sales activities, progress, and outcomes.
* Provide feedback and insights to the BDE team to optimise lead generation strategies and improve the quality of meetings.
* Meet and exceed sales targets by driving conversions from meetings into revenue.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or similar role, for a minimum period of 2 years.
* Strong track record of successfully closing deals and achieving sales targets.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior-level executives.
* A consultative sales approach, with the ability to quickly understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
* Outstanding negotiation and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Experience with CRM systems and a data-driven approach to sales management.
* A self-starter with a high level of motivation, capable of working independently as well as in a team.
