We are working alongside an established Building Services consultancy based in the North East who are looking for a 2D M&E CAD Technician to join their growing team.
This role will see you create and modify technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software, focusing on 2D designs for various sectors within building services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Develop detailed 2D drawings, plans, and layouts based on design requirements and specifications.
* Proficiently use AutoCAD software to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings.
* Work closely with engineers, architects, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
* Verify that drawings meet industry standards, technical specifications, and quality control requirements.
* Organize and manage drawing files, project documentation, and other relevant records.
* Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies in drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Keep abreast of the latest AutoCAD software updates, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
* Conduct site visits when needed to gather data and assess project requirements.
* Create installation and manufacturing documentation as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in AutoCAD: Strong skills in using AutoCAD software for 2D drafting and design.
* Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and industry regulations.
* Ability to create accurate and precise drawings with a keen eye for detail.
* Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues in drawings and designs.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and organize drawing files and project documentation.
