Central and Southern Scotland Divisional Headquarters, Glasgow have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Divisional Operations Manager.
The successful applicant will support the effective functioning of Divisional Headquarters (DHQ) and provide practical assistant to Corps, with operational matters, as directed by the Divisional Operations Manager.Key Responsibilities:
Provide practical support to corps leaders as needed to enable the smooth running of corps operations. This will require site visits across the Division, providing support with finance, health and safety, property, and personnel matters.
Support the efficient and effective operation of the DHQ, developing effective collaborative relationships with divisional and central services teams as needed.
Contribute to the work of divisional boards.
Work alongside corps leaders to put into practice corrective or improvement measures identified within audits or other kinds of reviews.
Provide support for building management matters relating to corps and DHQ.
Undertake tasks relating to the smooth running of unofficered corps.
Support the Divisional Operations Managers in all aspects of their roll.
Assist with supporting divisional events and administrating fundraising activities and appeals.
Undertake any other duties that fall within the scope of the role.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience of working successfully in a similar job role, excellent IT skill, particularly Microsoft Office.
Good awareness of processes relating to financial resources, human resources, health and safety and general administration.
Good communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work within The Salvation Army’s Christian ethos and key values.
