About The Team The post reports to the Head of Housing Partnerships and Service Improvement, a service that sets the framework for the way Lewisham delivers its housing services, through data, analysis, policy and strategy work. The team combines the development and maintenance of essential housing policies and strategies with data analysis and the implementation of service improvement initiatives across our operational housing services. About The Role As Performance and Insight Manager, your key responsibility is to ensure excellent and relevant KPI reporting for operational housing services, and high-quality performance reports to the Director Management Team. You will ensure that we make decisions that are evidence based, that a culture of performance management is developed and embedded across our full range of housing services, and that we measure what matters to drive improvements that make a meaningful difference to users of Lewisham's housing services. Working with services across the management of our social housing stock, homelessness and private sector housing you will guide and lead the Performance and Insight team in collating, synthesising, quality assuring, connecting, visualising and summarising data at all levels. Your analytical experience and skills will build capability and support teams in driving evidence-based decisions across the Housing Directorate, so that services can harness our data to make better decisions, mitigate operational risks and drive improvement. You will also be responsible for leading and managing the submission of the councils statutory and non-statutory data to relevant central Government departments, ensuring that the council is accurate and transparent in reporting its performance to residents and Government. Who we are looking for We are looking for someone who is inquisitive and has a passion for finding new and interesting ways of presenting data. You’ll have experience of leading on, and demonstrable skills in, performance management, service improvement, data analysis and visualisations such as high quality data dashboards. You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to be innovative and have a genuine interest in improving data quality. You'll have the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and the confidence to challenge the status quo. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of housing performance metrics, excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills, and great team management skills. Attention to detail and the ability to write concise and accurate reports are essential. You will also be responsible for coordinating housing statistical data returns across the business, and prior knowledge of this area would be desirable. What’s in it for you ?
