All About the Role
You will be given the training necessary to carry out your role, including mentoring by a strong, established site team. You’ll use the latest in blended learning techniques, to ensure you receive the highest levels of training whilst working on the core business activities. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Specific tasks may include:
1. Sorting incoming material, direct deliveries, customer collections & goods inwards
2. Keeping the IT system cleansed & updated
3. Stock locations, batches, amendments to stock & cutting notes
4. Investigating any stock losses/discrepancies
5. Customer & supplier returns/credit
6. Stock accuracy scores/figures
7. Scanning of all documentation (POD's, stock notes etc)
8. Support with the purchase of non-steel consumable items
9. Dealing with customer orders and data files and issuing orders to the factory for production
10. Customer Service & Continuous Improvement
11. All admin support.
12. Support the promotion and improvement of safety and awareness
13. Process documents and dispatch to machines
14. NC Data check and load

Essential Skills for the role:
23. You should be organised and methodical in your approach with a genuine interest in developing a career in Barrett Steel.
24. A good level of IT; able to confidently use Microsoft Word and ideally Excel and PowerPoint at a basic level
25. GCSE qualifications in English & Maths ideally at grade 5 or above
