Reporting to the site General Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with site and divisional management, as well as the finance team to provide valuable insights into site performance, through the effective management of operational KPIs. They will immerse themselves in the site's operation, to gain a comprehensive understanding of its workings, enabling them to effectively communicate KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Main Duties:
* Creating, Preparing, and Managing Site Operational KPIs.
* Serve as the site's InTouch superuser, managing all inputs and outputs.
* Ensure the accuracy of InTouch data by overseeing line operators' data entry.
* Report on pallets/units produced in comparison to benchmarks.
* Analyse efficiency metrics, including usable vs. non-usable pallets and reasons for discrepancies.
* Monitor bags per minute per SKU and investigate deviations.
* Track line downtime and identify underlying causes.
* Understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and analyse contributing factors.
* Reconcile InTouch production data with line operators' manual data.
* Manage finish good stock reconciliation, analyse and improve system performance.
* Liaise with relevant managers and report on cubic meters produced, production hours per line, total shift hours, production efficiency, and dye mix deviations against budget.
Raw Materials:
* Oversee the input processes at the weighbridge.
* Analyse incoming raw materials.
* Reconcile raw materials into D365 to eliminate errors.
* Compare actual raw material usage against BOM usage, analysing mix changes and overfills.
* Calculate packaging waste and benchmark against BOM standards.
* Manage raw material MPT testing to verify operational assumptions.
* Carry out weekly stocktakes on raw materials ensuring stock adjusted on a weekly basis.
* Carry out variance analysis on weekly stocktakes and investigating variances with operations team.
Essential Criteria:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
* 2+ years previous experience in a performance analyst role or similar, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft office, with particular emphasis on data manipulation within Excel.
* Experience of developing and implementing KPI’s
* Excellent organisational and follow-up skills, competent in problem solving, team player, planning and decision making.
* Ability to analyse complex data sets and extract insights to make informed operational recommendations.
Desirable Criteria:
* Previous system experience with Microsoft D365, and PowerBI.
* Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications.
