You will be specifically responsible for assisting the Laundry Production Manager in the operational delivery of linen production for patient's, visitors and staff at NUH.
Under the direction of the Laundry Production Manager, the Shift Manager is specifically responsible for the overall running, planning/administering and delivering a full service from the on-site laundry at City and a related linen service operation across the Trust and to external contracts as appropriate.
The Shift Manager will also be required to assist in the development and administration of policies and procedures relating to receiving, processing and delivery of laundry items in accordance with HTM 01-04 and other relevant British standards including BSEN 14065.

The main duties of the role cover day to day management of the laundry operatives and a team of team leaders.
The post holder will be expected to lead, motivate and develop the team.
Maintaining quality standards and adequate supplies of linen is of paramount importance the post holder will also be expected to ensure all systems and processes relating to BSEN 14065 are adhered to at all times.
Financial and physical resources management will play a key part as will human resources and staff engagement.
