We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Instrument/Electrical Technician to support the maintenance and project work on pilot plant and lab equipment at Wilton.
This part-time, temporary role is ideal for candidates seeking flexibility and the opportunity to work with advanced technology in a professional research and development environment. The position requires a commitment of 3 days per week and offers a competitive hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical and instrument repairs on pilot plant and laboratory equipment
Perform system modifications and provide project support as required
Regularly undertake trip testing, fault finding, and control panel builds
Ensure compliance with 18th edition standards and site-specific safety and operational procedures
Maintain high-quality work standards while adhering to safety regulations Requirements:
Proven experience in instrumentation and electrical maintenance within a pilot plant or industrial environment
Familiarity with hazardous area installations and compliance with I.E.T. 18th edition wiring regulations
Ability to interpret I/E drawings for fault finding and control panel construction
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
HNC qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
Knowledge of Energy Control and Permit to Work systems
