About The Role We have an opportunity to join the VWPC Tactical Team as a Commercial Finance Manager (we call this a Tactical and Margin Manager internally) on a Fixed Term Contract until March 2026. This role is the primary interface with the Tactical (Campaign) Managers and the Management Accountants for financial planning of margin and commercial campaign costs. You will be responsible for remunerating the retailer network; this will include financial forecast and budget cycle of the margin, commercial campaigns and factory support, in conjunction with the Tactical Planning Manager. You'll oversee the management and reconciliation of margin & tactical campaigns, including accurate and timely payment of campaign support to the retailer network and fleet customers. This truly is a leadership role, reporting into the Tactical Planning Manager, requiring the ability to present to and represent the views of Senior Managers in a range of scenarios and negotiations. What does a typical week look like? Of course, every day and week will be different, but here are some examples of what you can expect: Liaising with Tactical Managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of recent forecasting outputs and report back on progress to senior stakeholders in the brand Creating, developing and improving processes to ensure a high level of control of spend in the brand Communicating across multiple teams to strategically steer the sales performance to drive profitability Coordinating the Tactical and Margin Executives during the payment runs to the retailer network and fleet customers, ensuring accurate and timely payments are made Conducting calls and meetings with our colleagues in our HQ in Wolfsburg, Germany, on topics related to factory support to secure funding Working closely with our Management Accountant to effectively manage and track our Budget Skills & experience you can bring to the role: A high level of commercial acumen and the ability to make decisions based on sound judgement Experience of working in a fast paced, dynamic environment where multiple priorities need to be balanced An understanding of core financial principles to effectively manage financial forecast and budget cycles for margin and tactical spend Leadership skills to effectively oversee the Tactical & Margin team in managing, reconciling and paying retailer remuneration Ability to confidently communicate and present up to a senior level (HOB) An ability to effectively engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders within the retailer businesses and brand What can we offer you?
