About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that production is kept running smoothly and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain process risk assessments to ensure all risks to process safety have been identified and mitigated.
* Design methods to improve efficiency and product quality through the use of Continuous Improvement tools.
* Ensure operational compliance to legislative standards such as ISO45001 and ISO9001.
* Analyze equipment availability and capability, and implement improvements to optimize performance.
* Support the site Continuous Improvement plan and manage business improvement projects.
* Develop technical specifications for new or replacement equipment, and conduct factory acceptance tests and installed article tests.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Science / Engineering degree, HND, HNC or equivalent, or time served apprenticeship.
* The ability to produce clear and concise written documentation, including Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Process Control Plans (PCP).
* Relevant experience within a similar manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, automotive, process industry or chemical processing.
* Excellent numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
