The Opportunity
A reputable legal team is seeking a Construction Paralegal to assist with a broad range of non-contentious construction matters. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in drafting and reviewing construction contracts, supporting solicitors on transactional work, and conducting legal research within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation, review, and amendment of construction contracts, including JCT and NEC agreements.
* Conducting legal research on construction law, regulations, and industry developments.
* Managing case files, maintaining accurate records, and handling document management.
* Supporting solicitors with due diligence on construction projects and transactional matters.
* Liaising with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders regarding contract queries and legal documentation.
* Assisting with the preparation of reports, client updates, and correspondence.
* Providing general administrative support to the construction legal team.
Key Requirements
* Previous experience as a paralegal, ideally within non-contentious construction or a related practice area.
* A strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent legal research, drafting, and organisational skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems.
* A law degree or legal qualification (e.g., LPC, SQE, or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
