Year 5 Teacher – Peacehaven Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term (January 2024 – July 2024) Salary: Paid to Scale Start Date: January 2024 About the Role: We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Peacehaven. This role requires a strong classroom presence, exceptional behaviour management skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. You will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal growth of Year 5 pupils while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement. This is a full classroom responsibilty role and is paid to scale. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum. Implement strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive and respectful classroom environment. Monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and set targets for improvement. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development. Contribute to the wider school community through participation in meetings, events, and extracurricular activities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5. Proven expertise in managing challenging behaviour and promoting a positive classroom atmosphere. Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learning needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
