Description
* Be the day-to-day contact for your allocated portfolio.
* Plan delivery of work on your own portfolio; plan bookings and prepare high-quality files for manager review.
* Liaise with client to resolve queries before submitting accounts to manager for review.
* Where applicable, manage the work of more junior team members on your portfolio, including briefings and monitoring of performance to ensure completion of the job.
* Proactively analyse client data to highlight any issues and opportunities, both compliance and business-related.
* Monitor and review client financial data, present ideas and make recommendations.
* Work as part of a team to ensure clients are provided with excellent service.
* Be proactive in seeking support from peers and managers when faced with more complex issues.
* Ensure compliance with our streams policies and procedures.
* Understand WIP, scope, fees and project negotiations.
* Complete the client-take-on procedures for new clients, to include preparing engagement letters for manager and partner review.
* Attend client meetings with the Partner/Manager to develop your client relationships and provide advice as part of the client team.
Profile
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
* Solid accountancy experience required.
* Strong communication skills.
* Desire to advise clients and add value.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent knowledge of accounting packages including Xero and QBO.
* Experience of working collaboratively in a team to deliver projects.
Job Offer
* Salary between £40,000-£44,000 DOE.
