St Edward’s is seeking a talented and passionate Cricket Professional to join our team and play a central role in the coaching and development of our cricket programme.
St Edward’s Cricket is played by over 200 pupils, and we are committed to growing and enhancing the programme. Cricket is a core sport for both boys and girls, and you will play a key role in leading, planning, and delivering across all three terms.
In 2024, our Girls' 1st XI advanced to the National T20 Semi-Final, while our Boys' 1st XI reached the National T20 Quarter-Final. Cricket is primarily played during the Summer Term, but we also offer a winter programme throughout the Autumn and Spring Terms. During the Summer Term, we participate in seven national competitions.
Working closely with the Head of Cricket, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the sport, support the development of coaching staff, and build strong links with local clubs and academies. You will also collaborate with Beyond Teddies, our development and partnerships department, to extend the programme's reach within the local community. Additionally, your role will involve inspiring and driving success across all levels of the cricket club, while assisting in the recruitment of young, talented athletes to the School.
We are looking for candidates with experience in playing or coaching performance-level cricket and a deep understanding of technical and tactical strategies. While a high level of cricket expertise is essential, we highly value candidates who also possess knowledge and expertise in hockey.
