Principal Engineer - Electrical & ICA role:
This role involves delivering high-quality engineering design services, coordinating design work, and producing documentation while adhering to health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering contracts.
Principal Engineer - Electrical & ICA responsibilities:
Produce cost-effective design layouts that meet specification requirements and can be efficiently constructed and commissioned, considering all associated costs, including design, materials, erection, and impacts on other disciplines.
Follow, develop, and review procedures and processes to support the department's ongoing growth.
Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
Work within a culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction as key to achieving other objectives, where customers include both end users and internal departments benefiting from our processes.
Maintain a personal development plan, assist in supervising and developing staff, and ensure a safe working environment for all.
Minimise waste, ensure designs consider environmental impacts, and fully comply with health and safety requirements.
Principal Engineer - Electrical & ICA requirements:
Extensive experience in delivering process plant systems for complex water industry projects, including motor control centres, protection, VSDs, and harmonic mitigation.
Experience in selecting and specifying instrumentation, industrial communications, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
Experience in managing staff while designing discipline-specific aspects of water and sewage treatment plants.
Membership of a professional institution / chartered
Relevant discipline Engineering degree
Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts
Strong general knowledge of water treatment, including mechanical, process, and electrical engineering, as well as project management.
Driving license
